Proposing in Florence can be difficult for every man coming here in Italy from all over the world with the precise idea to get down on one knee, when it comes the time of THAT question: “will you take my hand in marriage?“. I think the first problem that comes to your mind could be “where can I do that?”. A good idea is to ask to your photographer to cooperate with you, in finding the best spot looking at how you’d like to do it (Ehi, I’m a photographer…and this was one of those cases!). Moreover usually I try to find an excuse with the groom-to-be to justify the fact I’m there, something like:
“hey Darling, I’ve a present for you, a photographer to get some candid snapshots of our vacation in Florence!”
Ron wrote me few months before to come here in Italy and asked me for some suggestions about a private spot, with a sort of magical surrounding, to do his wedding proposal. It’s not so easy to think something so different for him; the main/most popular spots where people want to propose here in Florence are Ponte Vecchio, Piazzale Michelangelo or San Miniato al Monte. But i had *THE* idea while I was moving through Florence to go to our appointment. We started chatting with whats-app and we agreed the place I was thinking for was exactly what he was hoping to find.
We met in front of their Airbnb apartment and after walking a bit to break the ice that moment arrived…he pulled out the beautiful engagement ring from David Yurman and….do you want to know more? Stop reading and let’s go here below trough my favorites!
